Monday.com integration

Aquilla can push a project’s translation progress onto a Monday.com board, so a manager who lives in Monday can see status without opening Aquilla.

Connecting the organization

Connect Monday.com once per organization, from Organization settings → Monday.com. Any org member can see whether the org is connected; only Maintainers and Owners can connect, reconnect, or disconnect it.

Choose Connect Monday.com. Aquilla asks whether you’re an admin on the Monday.com side:

• Yes: it opens Monday’s own authorization screen in a new tab. Approve it there and you’re returned to Aquilla, connected.
• No: it shows an official Add to monday.com install badge and a Copy install link button, so you can hand the link to whoever is a Monday admin.

Once connected, the settings page shows the connected Monday account, who connected it, and when. Click Disconnect to start over: Aquilla confirms first, since disconnecting removes every project’s board link across the whole org, not just one.

Note

Monday’s own access token expires periodically. When it does, the settings page shows an amber Reconnect notice: click it and repeat the connect flow to keep the integration working.

Linking a project to a board

Open a project’s Settings → Integrations tab. What you see there depends on your project role:

• Maintainer or above, org connected: a Set up with AI button (with a Set it up manually instead link below it, if you’d rather pick a board and map columns yourself).
• Maintainer or above, org not yet connected: a prompt to connect the org first, from the same panel.
• Below Maintainer: a read-only note, either “No Monday board is linked to this project. Maintainers can set one up here,” or, if the org isn’t connected, “An org maintainer can connect it in organization settings.”

Set up with AI

Choose Set up with AI and Aquilla runs a short, one-dialog wizard:

1. Intro: it explains what it’s about to do (pick the best-matching board, map completion/validation/activity metrics to suitable columns, and skip any column Monday won’t let it write to) and warns that nothing is written to Monday until you approve it.
2. Scanning: it reads this project and your Monday boards, then matches progress metrics to board columns. A two-step checklist tracks progress.
3. Review: a proposed board and column mapping, fully editable, with a summary of what it found. Change the board or any row before accepting.
4. Applying: it saves the link and immediately pushes once, so “done” always means a real push landed, not just that a link was saved.
5. Done: confirms the board is set up, with an Undo if you want to remove the link it just created.

If the connected Monday account has no boards at all, the wizard says so directly: “This Monday account has no boards yet. Create one in Monday, then run setup again.”

Setting it up manually

Set it up manually instead (shown once the org is connected) opens the older flow: pick a board from a dropdown, then map its columns to the project’s progress fields yourself, or ask the AI to propose a mapping for just that board.

Once linked, the same panel lets you turn the push on or off, trigger a Sync now for an immediate manual push, ask the AI to reconfigure the mapping from a short note (for example if a column changed), or Remove link, which unlinks the project without touching anything already on the Monday board.

What gets pushed, and when

While a link is active and sync is on, Aquilla pushes updated progress to the mapped board columns automatically as translation and validation work happens in the project. It runs on its own. Pushes are throttled rather than instantaneous, so expect a short delay rather than a live counter.

If the connection fails

If the Monday authorization doesn’t go through (for example you closed the tab, or Monday’s exchange failed), you land on a “Couldn’t finish connecting to Monday.com” page with the reason and a link back to Aquilla, instead of the connect flow silently doing nothing.

Still settling

The Monday.com integration is new. The connect flow, AI-suggested mapping, and automatic progress push are in place; expect the details of what’s pushed and how mappings are edited to keep evolving.
