Fixed

A rare migration issue could wrongly delete correctly translated verses and scramble chapter order in a project on re-import (seen on a Burmese Bible project); the affected verses have been restored and this is now guarded against happening again (AQU-970).
Psalm headers were being dropped during Biblica import; they now import correctly (#429).

August 19, 2026

Fixed

The audio recording modal now shows the (muted) video for the cell you’re recording, instead of leaving you recording blind (AQU-906).
Error messages under a cell (failed AI drafts, failed back-translations) used to get stuck on the row; they’re now cleared as soon as you click away from that cell (AQU-913).
Audio takes could silently disappear after a failed background sync, including after a page refresh; a take that fails to save now stays visible, marked “not saved, retry,” instead of vanishing (AQU-924).
Saving audio takes of certain exact lengths could cause a whole batch of takes to fail to save together; take durations are now stored correctly so this can’t happen (AQU-927).
Fixed deleted headings, duplicate chapter headings, chapter-marker rows, and scrambled chapter order that could resurface after a project was re-migrated from Codex (AQU-910, AQU-930, AQU-931, AQU-933, AQU-944).
Browser-side audio transcription used up to ~2.6 GB of memory; it’s now much lighter and no longer grows the longer you use it (AQU-929).
A project that was deleted and re-migrated could keep showing stale cached content in your browser after a normal reload; it now loads the current content (AQU-943).
Improved the Biblica Study Notes importer: added support for Treasure Hunt Bible and Reach4Life files, extra BSB front/back matter, and cleaner handling of stray text (#413).

Project leads and other qualified teammates can now approve or reject a colleague’s staged AI-agent changes, not just the person who originally ran the agent (AQU-936).
Bulk project migrations and imports run noticeably faster on the backend (AQU-961).

Security

Four rounds of scheduled security review (session and authentication handling, authorization and access control, input validation, and internal service-to-service auth hardening) closed a few internal-only gaps. No visible changes and no action needed (#407, #408, #418, #422).

August 14, 2026

Fixed

Reloading the app after your session token expired used to silently fail and land you on an empty, org-less dashboard; expired sessions are now caught before any request goes out and you’re sent straight to sign-in (AQU-885).
The “your session expired” banner used to disappear the instant it appeared, wiped out by the app’s own redirect; it now stays visible until you dismiss it or sign back in (AQU-884).
A project set to a non-English source language (for example a low-resource language) could keep showing “English” in the editor and in back-translation prompts, and changing the setting in Project Settings didn’t fix it. The project’s configured source language is now used everywhere (AQU-848).
Correcting an auto-transcribed source text on an imported audio section no longer gets silently overwritten by the media file’s filename after saving (AQU-847).
Asking the in-app AI agent to translate “the next few verses” while a file was open could sometimes target the wrong file; the agent now stays in the currently open file for relative requests, asks instead of guessing when scope is genuinely ambiguous, and every proposed change now shows which file it targets (AQU-846).
A teammate’s newly committed cell could stay blank until you clicked away and back, or after a server redeploy; the app now automatically re-syncs the open file whenever your connection reconnects (AQU-845).
Transcription results now show up right away instead of requiring a manual page refresh (AQU-783).
Transcribing one section of a clip that’s split into multiple text sections no longer pulls in audio from the whole shared clip; each section now transcribes only its own trimmed portion (AQU-782).

Failed AI actions (drafts, completions, agent edits) now show one short plain-language message per cell instead of a raw technical error dump, with a “Copy error” button if you need to report it (AQU-891).
Adding someone to an org’s member roster by username now shows the real reason a failed add didn’t work, for example missing permission, instead of a generic “username may not exist” message; a failed attempt is left staged so you can retry (AQU-780).
A large navigation and settings reorganization: project Settings moved to a gear icon next to Import, sharing and invites moved into Settings → Members, and Rules and Living Memory moved into Project Settings. A new “Recently deleted” tab lets you find and restore deleted files org-wide, and file Export and Assign actions were added to the file menu. Org, team, and project tables now share a consistent sortable, searchable design (#326).

New

The in-app AI agent can now add new rows and headings to a file when asked, instead of returning a “can’t apply this yet” error; adding a row still requires your approval and respects your role (AQU-890).
Connecting a project to Monday.com is now a single guided wizard (connect, scan, review, apply) that uses AI to suggest a board and column mapping you can edit before applying, instead of a scattered multi-screen flow. This also fixes a broken settings link and a confusing error when a Monday account has no boards (AQU-855).
The app’s interface now has initial support for four new languages: Thai, Burmese, Malay, and Arabic, including right-to-left layout for Arabic and locale-aware date, number, and file-size formatting. These translations are freshly generated and still need a native-speaker review pass, so expect some rough edges (#403).

Security

Ongoing security hardening: closed a gap where audio upload and voice-processing actions weren’t checking the same minimum role as the equivalent editing actions, plus several lower-severity fixes (rate limiting on API token creation, trimming leaked error detail, dependency-vulnerability scanning, and masking draft text and comments in analytics session replay). No visible changes and no action needed (#328, #374, #337, #353).

August 12, 2026

Fixed

If loading your shared projects or guest organizations failed, the app used to just show “no projects” with no way to recover; it now shows a clear error message with a Retry button (AQU-883).
A failed organization load used to falsely show “No organizations yet” and hide the organization switcher; it now shows an error card with a Retry button and keeps the switcher visible (AQU-882).
Members who only had access to shared projects (not full org membership) used to land on a dead-end “Your organization is ready” screen; they’re now taken straight to a page listing their shared projects (AQU-864).
Importing legacy audio with no real speaker labels no longer splits a single speaker into dozens of phantom “voices”; such audio now imports under one default voice, while projects with real character names still get one voice per character (AQU-813).
The “Suggest from edits” rule tool now finds patterns in projects translated entirely by hand, instead of only working when there was a prior AI draft (AQU-820).
The status message shown while a large file is still loading now correctly reads “Loading file from the cloud” instead of the misleading “Syncing” (AQU-819).
A Viewer or Commenter (read-only roles) could grab and indefinitely hold the editing lock on a cell, blocking Contributors from editing it. That’s now fixed, and repeated password-reset attempts are now rate-limited too (#310).

Improved

Autopilot now has a proper activity view: check what it did on the project overview or in a detail panel, review past runs and evidence, and pause, resume, or recover a run, instead of a vague block of status text (AQU-826).
In Media view, the panel below the audio timeline is now a full scrollable text table kept in sync with the timeline. Click a clip to jump to its text row (or the reverse), the current row auto-scrolls and highlights during playback, and each line gets a small icon to assign or change who’s speaking. Several playback glitches (the position jumping backward, losing track of the current line, hover highlighting misbehaving) are fixed too (AQU-646).

New

Import documents straight from Google Drive, including whole folders, via a new “Google Drive” option in the import dialog; a summary before import shows which files will be skipped and why (AQU-823).
Expanding a media, audio, video, or subtitle file on the project overview now shows a section breakdown in roughly 5-minute chunks, each with its own percent translated and validated, instead of one flat total (AQU-805).
Organization owners can now set the minimum role required to add or edit termbase entries in a project, instead of that permission being fixed; this also fixes project leads sometimes getting a permission error when saving termbase changes (AQU-822).
Each file in the sidebar now has a “File details” option showing its type, language, import date, and translation/validation progress, plus rename, move, export, and delete actions (with an explanation whenever an action isn’t allowed for your role) (#341).
Audio and video projects get a redesigned two-track timeline (original and translated audio shown separately) with drag-and-trim clip editing, a much-improved recording workflow (multiple named takes, a dedicated generate-voice button, recordings that no longer vanish before saving, and a fix for takes losing their length after transcription), and a new “Audio-first” timing mode that keeps long translations aligned with the original recording (AQU-646).

Security

A round of security reviews closed several internal gaps: an unauthenticated-connection loophole, invite tokens that were being logged, a pen-test of deployment infrastructure that found no exploitable secrets, and protective response headers that now reach every page instead of just the homepage. No visible changes and no action needed (#289, #291, #303, #312).

Fixed

Typing with an IME (Japanese romaji, Devanagari) into an IDML target cell no longer doubles characters or mixes in raw untranslated input (AQU-810).
Adding a project member by their exact username now works even when they’re outside your organization’s scope, instead of incorrectly showing “no user found” (AQU-781).
The Teams page now only lists teams you’re actually a member of if you’re not a maintainer, and the “Remove member” control is enabled only for maintainers and owners (AQU-789).
Switching into an organization where you’re only a guest now shows the correct URL, breadcrumb, and sidebar for that org (AQU-790).
In the editor table, a subtitle or media file’s timecode range (for example “00:00:00.000 –> 00:00:03.970”) now lines up flush-left instead of appearing centered (AQU-800).

Improved

Autopilot (contextual translation) now drafts several spans of a file in parallel instead of one at a time, and streams drafts into the editor as they’re produced, so you can accept or dismiss each one right in its cell. A new project-wide autopilot panel gives project managers a review backlog and progress view across every file. Autopilot also now factors in your project’s approved and forbidden terminology and its translation brief when drafting, and is on by default for all projects (#263).

Security

A round of scheduled security reviews fixed several internal issues: role-resolution gaps in the external Agent API and personal-access-token surface, error responses that leaked internal details, a non-constant-time secret comparison, unpinned CI/CD dependencies, and added true server-side session revocation on sign-out. No visible changes and no action needed (#258, #267, #269, #284).

Fixed

In IDML documents, deleting the last character of a translated text slot no longer triggers a false “This edit would remove protected InDesign formatting” warning; select-all and backspace now clears a slot correctly (AQU-740).
Pressing Enter at the end of a line in an IDML target cell no longer leaves the cursor stuck at the start of the cell; the cursor now appears on the new line right away (AQU-740).

August 4, 2026

Fixed

Imported files (like an eBible corpus) no longer vanish from the sidebar after you leave and come back to the project; a deployment mismatch had briefly sent some imports to the wrong environment (AQU-744).
The “Assign…” dialog’s default language lane now shows its real language name (for example “Portuguese”) instead of “Default language” (AQU-728).
Regular members no longer see every project name in the org dashboard; only the projects they’re actually on now show up (AQU-745).
Typing immediately after clicking into a cell no longer occasionally drops the first character (AQU-746).
Re-running a Codex migration now correctly removes headings that were already deleted in Codex, instead of leaving stale copies behind (AQU-747).
Members who aren’t on a team can no longer see that team’s member list from the Teams page (AQU-748).
Password reset emails now send correctly even when your account’s stored email has different capitalization than what you type (AQU-751).
“Add to termbase” no longer closes silently when you lack permission; it now shows a clear message explaining you need Maintainer access (AQU-754).
Pasting or typing in IDML target cells no longer leaves stray leading, trailing, or doubled spaces (AQU-758).
Picking a different voice for a cell in Audio mode now sticks, instead of reverting to the previous voice (AQU-768).

Improved

Projects can now have a designated Project Manager; sort and filter the org project list by PM (AQU-507).
Clicking “Open project” now shows an immediate spinner and disables the button while the workspace loads, so repeated clicks can’t fire multiple navigations (AQU-737).
Adding people to a project, an organization, or a team now supports selecting several people at once and adding them in a single step (AQU-734, AQU-735, AQU-736).
The organization switcher gets a search box (for accounts in several orgs) and now lists organizations alphabetically (AQU-759).
Maintainers can now rename a project directly from Project Settings (AQU-765).
A broad UI refresh: the workspace toolbar, tooltips (now working on keyboard focus, not just mouse hover), status filters, and sidebar navigation were all polished for consistency; badges and chips use rounded corners instead of pill shapes throughout (#235, #236).

New

Project Settings → Import now has an “Exclude USFM front matter” option to leave book titles and introductions out of translatable cells on import (AQU-634).

Security

A routine API security review fixed a few issues: org-level API keys were no longer exposed to non-maintainers, error responses no longer leak internal details, and the external Agent API’s search endpoint now has rate limiting. No visible changes and no action needed (#253).

Fixed

If loading a file’s translation cells hit a brief connection hiccup, the editor used to wrongly claim the file was empty. It now shows a “Couldn’t load” notice with a retry button instead, and the file’s content is never at risk (AQU-775).

Fixed

Fixed the IDML editor’s cursor jumping outside editable text when navigating or typing (AQU-740).
The “source changed” warning no longer fires when only invisible metadata changed on the source text, and the check is now scoped to the file you’re actually in (AQU-741).
Fixed AI-drafted translations in IDML documents being lost or corrupted when a draft spanned more than one text slot (AQU-742).

New

Added a Biblica Study Bible Notes importer (beta, IDML): brings in a study Bible’s notes as translatable text, tagged with the book and chapter they belong to, while leaving the Bible text itself out (it’s set from the publisher’s own Bible files). Notes come in as whole paragraphs by default, with an option to split long notes into one cell per sentence (#244, #251).
The chapter and section navigator now works for every import type, not just Scripture, surfacing meaningful subsections as you move through a file (AQU-739).

The “Assign to” picker now only lists people who are actually on the project, instead of every member of the organization (AQU-676).
The “Assign work” Book dropdown lists every book fully spelled out and in Bible order, instead of abbreviated names sorted out of order (AQU-678).
A single AI prediction that comes back empty now shows a clear error instead of silently saving a blank translation (AQU-685).
The target text box no longer changes width when a prediction or the validate button appears next to it (AQU-687).
Clicking an assignment under “My assignments” now always opens the right file and target-language lane, instead of leaving you on whichever one was already open (AQU-690).
A new comment on a cell that already has a translation no longer shows a false “stale” warning badge (AQU-692).
The project setup checklist now survives using “Import files” from step 1 and a page refresh mid-setup, and stays dismissed (as a smaller reopenable chip) once you skip it (AQU-693, AQU-694, AQU-695).
Voice & transcription setup: pasting an API key now confirms it saved (or flags it as invalid) instead of saving silently, skipping the step clears the “not set up” reminder, and model downloads show real percent/size progress instead of a bare spinner (AQU-701).
Clicking “Create Project” twice, or retrying after a slow connection drops the response, no longer creates a duplicate project (AQU-711, AQU-712).
AI drafting no longer fails with an error on projects configured to use a custom, non-OpenRouter completion endpoint such as Groq (AQU-724).

Improved

AI-generated drafts can now run up to 4,000 tokens by default (up from 512), so longer passages are less likely to get cut off.
The project overview Team card’s “Assign…” flow can assign several chapters to one person in a single step, instead of one chapter per assignment (AQU-677).
The “Help & community” sidebar button now shows a chevron, making it clear it opens a menu (AQU-699).
The signed-out marketing homepage now links to the help docs from its nav and footer (AQU-702).

New

An early preview of “Contextual drafting”: turn it on from a project’s Experimental settings to have an assistant read whole passages and draft translations from the surrounding context, staged for your review. Off by default, and stays on your device (#225).
Shared projects now show a “New” badge until you open them for the first time (AQU-696).

Security

This week’s rotating security reviews fixed several issues: a possible SSRF bypass in audio processing and a missing content-security-policy in the desktop app; unthrottled admin step-up and registration endpoints, plus a step-up code that wasn’t generated securely; a cross-tenant bug that could let one project link in another project’s content without permission; and stricter input handling closing a database-query loophole and an email-notification injection risk. No visible changes and no action needed (#214, #228, #237, #240).

Export no longer blocks on outstanding validation/health flags: the download stays available, with a non-blocking notice instead of a hard block (AQU-654).
“Assign…” from a lane no longer errors “No file open.”; non-scripture files now show plain-language scope labels (“Entire file”/“Sections”) instead of Bible-specific terms (AQU-658).
The Audio lens playback bar now reliably starts playback, spacebar toggles play/pause when you’re not typing in a field, and clips with missing audio are skipped with a clear message instead of a raw error (AQU-660).
DOCX footnotes are preserved on import instead of being dropped, and AI drafting on footnoted source text now returns real, correctly placed footnotes instead of raw markers (AQU-662).
Dialogue timeline playback now starts from the section you clicked and plays straight through across section boundaries, with no cuts or jumps (AQU-666).
AI drafts (sparkle and batch “Draft all”) no longer disappear when you click away or reload; a failed draft now reverts cleanly and shows an error instead of falsely showing “Saved” (AQU-667, AQU-670).
Only the cell you’re actively focused on keeps its action rail open; stray rails no longer pile up as you move through a file (AQU-669).
Terminology violations now show one clear signal (an inline underline that appears as you type, with the explanation on hover) instead of a duplicate advisory banner (AQU-664).
The agent credits indicator no longer shows “NaN cr”; today’s usage now appears on hover instead of an always-visible number (AQU-671).
Migrating legacy Codex projects: cells deleted in the source project no longer reappear, and stray HTML-entity artifacts no longer show up in migrated text (AQU-673, AQU-674).
Multi-language projects: AI drafts and hand edits in a non-default language lane now land and persist in the correct lane, and source-text corrections made after a translation is committed are no longer silently lost (AQU-698).
Opening a file by direct link or hard-reloading the page no longer crashes the workspace (AQU-700).
Org-wide project visibility is now restricted to Maintainers and above; regular contributors only see projects they’re directly added to or granted through a team, closing a gap where any org member could open every project in the org (AQU-435).

The media clip detail pane now plays the original source audio directly, and lets you edit the target text in the same rich-text editor used elsewhere (with footnotes, terminology, and formatting) instead of a bare text box (AQU-659).
Imported audio now auto-transcribes into source text, plays continuously across sections, and the timeline follows along as playback moves; cast assignments now actually drive voiced target audio (AQU-646).
The workspace header is simplified to a single “⋯” menu: Import, Run AI completions, Draft all, Batch validate, Export, and other actions are all reachable from one place (AQU-661).
The project “Add member” field now suggests matching organization members as you type (AQU-672).
Timeline polish: a live time readout while dragging or resizing a clip, smoother scroll/pinch zoom, and a fixed flicker during zoom; the file-check drawer and sync-status banner also got small readability fixes (#212).

New

Paragraph-level AI drafting: a “Draft paragraph” button drafts a whole paragraph at once, skipping cells you’ve already validated, with paragraph breaks now shown in the editor.
Monday.com integration: connect an organization’s Monday.com account, map a project’s translation progress onto a board’s columns (with AI-suggested mappings), and get progress pushed to Monday live as work happens.
The agent chat’s empty state now shows a first-run guide with example prompts you can tap to fill in, plus a link to the user guide.

Security

A routine security review found two issues, both now fixed: a translation-agent database tool could be tricked into reading another project’s or organization’s data, and a shared secret comparison wasn’t constant-time. No visible changes and no action needed (#210).

July 23, 2026

Fixed

Validations are now credited to the account that actually clicked Validate. Previously, switching accounts without reloading could attribute a contributor’s validations to the project owner (AQU-633).
When a validation is blocked (outside your assigned files or lanes, or self-validation is off), the cell no longer silently reverts. A banner now explains why in plain language, and cells you can’t validate are greyed out with a reason instead of offering a button that won’t work (AQU-633).
Translating your own cell no longer auto-validates it on projects where self-validation is turned off (AQU-633).
Importing a spreadsheet with a target-translation column now fills each target with its own row’s text, correctly aligned to the source. Importing with no target column mapped leaves targets empty (AQU-638).
The project Comments page now loads existing comments on its own; no more clicking Refresh after opening it directly (AQU-640).
Projects that have source text but no translations yet show “Not started” instead of being incorrectly flagged “Stalled” on the organization home page (AQU-639).
After generating an AI translation, you’re returned to the cell with the new text visible and a brief “Saved” confirmation (AQU-618).

Improved

Cell health is now graded: attention rings reflect a range of confidence based on similarity to validated neighbours, instead of jumping from 0% to 100% only when validated (AQU-641).
In the Share modal’s Members tab, each member’s scope settings are collapsed into a compact summary row (“Full access”, “2 lanes · 1 file”); expand a member to edit (AQU-645).
The Progress card on the project overview is customizable: hide the stats you don’t need, and only widgets relevant to your project are offered (AQU-593).
Staffing a lane now offers an “Invite them to the project” link when your search finds no one in your organization, instead of dead-ending on “No matches” (AQU-607).
Opening the translation workspace shows a proper loading spinner instead of bare “Loading…” text (AQU-637).
Single-cell AI translations respond faster on projects with many validated cells (AQU-617).

New

Share links can be scoped to specific target languages, so a new member joins already limited to the lanes you chose (AQU-528).
Per-user access links with a PIN: hand a translator a link and PIN and they land directly in their project, no email signup or onboarding (AQU-626).

Security

Server-side hardening from this week’s penetration-test reviews: request size limits and stricter input validation on sync and import endpoints. No visible changes and no action needed (#201, #197, #166).

Fixed

Bulk validation commits promptly (about a second) instead of lagging several seconds, and reliably persists across reloads (AQU-616).
Pressing Enter in a target cell confirms your edit and leaves the cell; it no longer adds a stray blank line. Shift+Enter still inserts a deliberate line break (AQU-584).
Importing USFM/Paratext books no longer creates cells for book-name front matter or introduction sections, only verses and in-body headings. Exports still round-trip the original file with front matter intact (AQU-585).
Footnotes with bold/italic formatting now render correctly on the target side instead of showing raw \bd/\it markers (AQU-598).
After joining a second organization, you now land on the all-organizations dashboard instead of staying silently locked to your first org (#196).

Scripture books in the file sidebar (and assignment dropdowns) are listed in canonical Bible order, Genesis → Revelation, instead of alphabetically (AQU-582).
The validation control now sits immediately to the left of the target cell, no more crossing the whole row to validate what you just read (AQU-592).
Cells with open comments show a persistent comment icon in the left gutter, and the Comments page labels each comment with its verse reference (for example GEN 1:1) instead of an internal ID (AQU-599).
While an AI translation is generating, the whole row shows a pulsing progress ring, visible without hovering (AQU-590).
The built-in punctuation check now catches dropped colons and semicolons mid-sentence, not just at the end (AQU-587).
The cell details panel has a visible close button (AQU-588), and the “Import target translations” action is named so you can actually find it (AQU-503).
The target-language tag in the column header is now a control: click it to set or change the project’s target language (maintainers and owners; lane switching is role-gated on multi-language projects) (AQU-583, AQU-608).
Replacing an existing translation with AI can skip the confirmation dialog via “Don’t ask again”; validated cells always confirm (AQU-591).
Projects shared with you from another organization are reachable from the org switcher, and the guided tour’s pointer arrows are easier to see (AQU-624, AQU-596).

Target languages (lanes) can be archived and restored from Project Settings; archived lanes keep their translations and stay reachable behind a “Show archived” reveal (AQU-601).

On slow connections, AI-generated text and validation marks now appear in the cell immediately, no more reloading the page to see work that already saved (AQU-558).
Editing the same source cell twice in a row no longer silently drops the second edit on multi-language projects (AQU-603).
You no longer see your own avatar on the cell you’re editing, and collaborators appear on a cell only while they’re actively focused on it (AQU-559).
Line numbers start at 1 on the first real content cell, instead of being offset by front-matter rows (AQU-610).

Improved

Import previews show clean readable text, no more \add, \f…\f* and other USFM codes in the preview (stored content was always clean) (AQU-580).
Switching the target lane switches the whole editor to that language: labels, text direction, and AI translation all follow the active lane (AQU-602).
Permission errors now tell you which account you’re signed in as and offer a one-click account switch, instead of a bare “You don’t have permission” (AQU-560).
Adding a language to a project updates that one row in place; the projects table no longer blanks and reloads (AQU-605).
Cell history lives in one place: a History button on the row’s action rail (the duplicate tab in the details panel is gone) (AQU-561).

New

A single Shared with you page gathers every project shared with you across organizations, replacing scattered per-org sections (AQU-417).
Cast / cell-label import: download a CSV template, fill in cast names, and re-upload to label cells; labels never touch translated text (AQU-314).
